I originally set up this web site as a tribute to a great friend and musician Tom Baker. That was a few years ago, in that time I have issued ten CD's in his honor, since then I have moved on to producing my own recordings and learning how things are today, I was totally computer illiterate a few years ago but now I spend half my time trying to get my music out there along with everybody else on the computer. I have discovered that the Nerds and the Geeks have inherited the earth, which probably explains why all the music today is soulless being either Wrap , Hip Hop or Techno, all of it computer generated with some one chanting some words. All the musicians I know have practiced hard and still do to maintain their craft, but they are now like dinosaurs waiting in gods waiting room to fade away. 60% or more of today's music is computer generated leaving them a thing of the past. As with all fads we can only hope that this will pass just like the yo-yo and the skate board. I am also a thing of the past as I like to hear melody, chords and some one singing, where you can understand the words. All the greats in times gone by, like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Hank Williams, etc, would not even get a look in the door today as nobody is interested in real music. The only way to make a change is for musicians to band together against the Internationals that control all the media and support the independents. So far the lowest common denominator has won.
